Bishop Dyer Says Wrestling Isn’t About Money At This Stage In His Career

Bishop Dyer isn’t being driven by money at this point in his career.

Following his departure from WWE when his contract expired on November 1, 2024, the then-Baron Corbin made his way to the independent circuit under his real name, Tom Pestock, and now competes as Bishop Dyer.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Bishop Dyer reflected on his experience competing on the independent scene so far and explained that money is not the driving factor in deciding where he works.

“I’m a little more picky on the shows I’m gonna do, so MLW has been a great spot. Same with Maple Leaf Pro. I love working for Scott [D’Amore] as well. Both of those companies are so professionally run and it’s such a pleasure to get there. It’s not about the money for me at this point. Obviously I do get compensated for my time, but that’s not my driving factor. It’s really neat to be able to kind of pick these companies like MLW where I feel like it is super pro, everybody there is super talented, and it’s a great experience every time I’m there.”

Bishop Dyer primarily competes for Major League Wrestling and is one half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions alongside fellow former WWE Superstar Donovan Dijak, together known as The Skyscrapers.

Dyer has also been featured regularly on Scott D’Amore’s Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling and has made appearances for the likes of BZW, RXW, House of Glory, and All Elite Wrestling since leaving WWE.
