Blake Monroe has looked back on her AEW run eight months after leaving for WWE.

Then known as Mariah May, Blake Monroe only spent around 18 months in All Elite Wrestling before deciding to make the jump to WWE in 2025. However, despite a relatively short run by modern standards, ‘The Glamour’ was able to win the AEW Women’s World Championship during her trilogy with Toni Storm as the pair built up a memorable storyline for over a year until it culminated in ‘The Hollywood Ending’ at Revolution 2025. Now, Monroe has looked back on her time in AEW.

Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Monroe mentioned that her AEW run taught her how to make people care in wrestling.

“I give 110% to everything I do and I’m so passionate about wrestling, but also, that taught me how to make people feel something. The way people still care so much, it means you did a good job. So, I feel like I’m constantly like, ‘Okay, how can I make people feel something? How can I make them care?’ Whether it’s a short comedy thing or whether it’s a chance to have a year-and-a-half long feud. Our dearly beloved friend Mariah did pass away. She got killed off at the end there, but it felt like the perfect end for her and her story, and her impact on people. And now we start something new.”

Since moving to WWE, Monroe has mainly been featured on the NXT brand where she is a former Women’s North American Champion. In recent weeks, the 27-year-old has been locking horns with Jaida Parker as she looks to further find her footing in the company’s women’s division.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Blake Monroe as soon as we hear more.
