Bobby Lashley: I’m Healed, I’m Not Hurt, I Think We’re Going To Go After The AEW World Trios Championships

Bobby Lashley clears up that he’s not injured after his recent AEW absence.
‘The Almighty’ Bobby Lashley hasn’t competed for AEW since competing in the Casino Gauntlet to crown the first National Champion way back at Full Gear on November 22. Not long after, reports indicated Lashley was suffering with an undisclosed injury that would leave him set for a spell on the sidelines, with his injury status later confirmed by MVP. However, the 49-year-old has given the latest on his availability.
Appearing at the For the Love of Wrestling convention, Lashley confirmed he isn’t currently sidelined with an injury, stating that ‘The Hurt Syndicate’ will soon be coming for gold.
“All I want to do is win titles, so that’s where I’m really focused on. When we get back, between Shelton and MVP, we want to do things collectively. We want to do things as a group. So I think we’re going to go after the Trios guys. Let’s see what we can do with those guys. Because I think that that’s what we need, man. The crowd loves us over there. We have an opportunity to bring back what we have before. And it’s real, man. “Shelton’s an amazing person, an amazing wrestler. MVP’s amazing at everything that he does. And same here. So it’s like, we just have a great group. And we’re all friends, so we all pull for each other. So anytime one of us is down, the other one pulls us up. And I think right now, they’re pulling me up. They’re yanking me back in. They said, ‘It’s ready. We’re ready to go back out there and win some titles.’ So I am healed. Everybody thought I was hurt, I’m not hurt. You can’t hurt the All Mighty.”

While it certainly seems like his sights are set on trios gold, Lashley also made mention of the fact former Hurt Syndicate member MJF is the current AEW World Champion, indicating unfinished business with his former stablemate.
“MJF has the title, so I think everybody has some unfinished business with him. But, you know what, I have no hard feelings to anyone.”

Having debuted the company in October 2024, Lashley found success after less than three months when he and Shelton Benjamin won the AEW World Tag Team Championships from Private Party at the end of January. The pair would hold the titles for 214 days before losing them to Brodido in a three-way match also involving FTR, and from there their main focus was on The Demand.
After not being seen on-screen since November, it remains to be seen when Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate will make their return to AEW.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Bobby Lashley as soon as we hear more.
