Brandi Rhodes, former Cheif Branding Officer of AEW, has shed light on her 2022 departure from All Elite Wrestling.
In February of 2022, Brandi and Cody Rhodes made it clear that they were leaving AEW, a move that sent shockwaves through the wrestling world for various reasons, one being that the two both held key positions in the company, Brandi served as the CBO and Cody had status as an EVP as well as a founding member of the company.
In a recent interview with The Athletic’s Chris Vannini, Brandi would further discuss the AEW departure of her and Cody, revealing that she felt as though the company was drifting away from her initial vision.
“What I feared with that company, I was seeing before my eyes. When you start to see things drift from the original vision and … I’ve seen this happen before, then you start to (think) this may not be what we thought it was.”

It has been stated in the past that Cody departed All Elite Wrestling due to a cited personal issue, as well as making it known he felt Brandi was mistreated following their absences from AEW.
Brandi has yet to return to wrestling since her AEW departure, however, it has been made clear that she will be in Philidelphia to see Cody attempt to finish his story.
