Britt Baker was recently suspended by All Elite Wrestling.

Since returning to AEW at Forbidden Door, Britt Baker has been locked into a feud with Mercedes Moné over the TBS Championship. During their segment on this week’s Dynamite, ‘The CEO’ made reference to Baker serving a suspension in recent weeks, and a new report suggests that this wasn’t just a part of their ongoing storyline.

Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that Britt Baker was recently suspended by AEW for around 1-2 weeks, after she allegedly said something about MJF which Alicia Atout overheard at the July 17 Dynamite, leading to a confrontation backstage with the former AEW World Champion.

“Britt Baker was suspended for either one or two weeks and fined by the company’s disciplinary committee. Details have been kept pretty quiet. It came from something backstage at the 7/17 Dynamite where Baker allegedly said something about MJF and Alicia Atout, MJF’s girlfriend heard it and told him and he confronted Baker. This led to an investigation with HR talking to people on 7/24.”

It was noted that the incident was as a result of previous issues that hadn’t been resolved, but, with her now back on TV, it’s likely that the incident has now been moved past. Baker remains set to challenge Moné for the TBS Championship at Wembley Stadium in just 23 days.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Britt Baker’s AEW suspension as soon as we hear more.
