Brock Lesnar Reportedly Listed To Face LA Knight At WWE WrestleMania 42 As Of Late January

An unexpected opponent could await ‘The Beast’ at WrestleMania.

With the Royal Rumble now behind us, discussion among the WWE Universe is largely centred on the WrestleMania 42 plans, with several major stars still without a clear direction heading into Las Vegas.

One such name is Brock Lesnar, who many expect to face former NXT Champion Oba Femi. However, Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that, as of late January, Lesnar was listed internally as facing LA Knight at WrestleMania 42.

“The Brock Lesnar direction for Raw is likely to be teased at the 2/23 Raw in Atlanta when he returns. There was a tease at the Royal Rumble of Oba Femi and after the Rumble we were only told that it was not a sure thing yet. We do know that in the lineup in late January for the show, that Lesnar was listed as facing LA Knight.”

It is worth noting, however, that Lesnar’s most memorable interaction in the Royal Rumble match came against Oba Femi, with the crowd reacting loudly as the pair squared off, while little was established between Lesnar and LA Knight beyond the latter assisting Cody Rhodes in eliminating ‘The Beast’ in a moment that received minimal focus.

Since arriving on the main roster, Oba Femi has appeared on both Monday Night RAW and Friday Night SmackDown and is currently listed by WWE as a free agent.
