Brody King Comments On Fan Support For His Stance Against ICE

Brody King addresses AEW fans showing support for his anti-ICE stance.
Ahead of Brody King’s AEW World Championship Eliminator match against Maxwell Jacob Friedman in the main event of the February 4 episode of AEW Dynamite, fans in Las Vegas made their voices heard by chanting “F*CK ICE”, showing support for a sentiment King has made clear he holds.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo in a new interview, Brody King touched on the support he has received for his anti-ICE stance.
“I feel like when I was younger, I always wanted somebody that felt like me on TV, or wherever, to express the way that they felt so I can have someone to champion for me. And if I can be that for other people that are being marginalized, then I want to be that for them. Everyone tries to bring up the political thing. In my opinion, it’s just what’s right and what’s wrong. There’s a lot of wrong happening in the world and if I can speak out against it, then I will.”

Many of Brody King’s AEW appearances this year have prompted loud “F*CK ICE” chants, and the sentiment has carried over into other segments, with the crowd in Minnesota during this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite starting the chant during Darby Allin’s match against Rush.
The chants come at a time of increasingly negative sentiment towards the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under Donald Trump’s administration, with Brody King having long made his views on the matter clear across social media.
AEW World Champion MJF addressed the chants last month and noted that other promotions would have censored the crowd. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Brody King as soon as we hear more.
