Cal Bloom (FKA WWE’s Von Wagner) To Debut In AJPW On October 22

Cal Bloom, known to WWE fans as Von Wagner, is headed to AJPW.

Former NXT wrestler Cal Bloom, formerly known as Von Wagner, will make his All Japan Pro Wrestling debut on October 22nd as the newest member of the HAVOC stable. The surprise announcement was made during a vignette that played midway through AJPW’s September 22nd event in Korakuen Hall.

In the video, which can be seen here, HAVOC members XYON (FKA Xyon Quinn), Oddyssey (FKA Odyssey Jones), and Shotaro Ashino are seen eating together. XYON is seen in the middle of the frame as he calls a mystery person, saying that HAVOC needed him to come over and join them. The video then switches to a shot of Bloom, who tells XYON that he’ll be there soon, saying “Hey, say no more, brother. I’ll see you all soon.” The video then crashes to a graphic showing the announcement that Cal Bloom will make his debut.

Just like with XYON and Oddyssey, Cal Bloom’s arrival in AJPW comes with a lot of mystery. The 32-year-old certainly has the pedigree of a pro wrestler, as he’s the son of Beau Beverly of the Beverly Brothers, but he’s yet to really showcase his potential. Since his departure from WWE in 2024, he’s only wrestled 10 times and only once on television. In fact, he’s only wrestled one match so far this year, taking place back in March.

Even so, his imminent arrival in AJPW is intriguing, especially as a member of HAVOC. The faction might be aligned as the company’s heel group, but they mostly come off as affable jocks more than anything. If they are able to showcase Bloom’s specific charisma, which he showed at times in NXT, then this could be a suitable fit for both parties. Also with the Real World Tag League set to begin in November, Bloom being added to HAVOC’s roster makes it possible they could enter two teams.
