Cedric Alexander has confirmed his WWE exit.

Back in September, shortly before The Hurt Syndicate’s AEW debut, it was reported that Cedric Alexander had signed a multi-year contract extension with WWE. At the time, Alexander was making appearances on NXT, something which continued intermittently until his most recent appearance on January 28. Now, it seems as if the former Cruiserweight Champion is done with WWE.

Taking to social media, Alexander made a post on X in which he thanked WWE for his eight and a half years there while looking towards the future.

As for what’s next, Fightful Select added that some AEW sources expect members of The Hurt Syndicate to push for their former member to be brought into AEW.

“AEW sources expected several within the Hurt Syndicate to push for him.”

Alexander will be a free agent in 90 days and many would expect him to land All Elite Wrestling when he’s available, though whether that happens remains to be seen. Of course, we wish him the best with what comes next in his career.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Cedric Alexander’s future plans as soon as we hear more.
