‘The Queen’ had to carve her own path in 2025.
In mid-2025, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss became “Allies of Convenience” as they embarked on a tag team run that would see the pair capture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam.
However, Charlotte Flair revealed in an interview with ClutchPoints that WWE did not have creative plans in place for her beyond WrestleMania 41, with Alexa Bliss ultimately pitching their partnership, which went on to make 2025 a successful year for both women.
“I wrote the essay, and then Lexi [Alexa Bliss] had been pitching to partner with me, and I had been such an isolated character for so long. And then Evolution happened. I couldn’t have planned it better. I had just gotten to a point where they had no creative for me after WrestleMania. What was next was to, I don’t know, rebuild. And like [John] Cena said, ‘Don’t be perfect, be you.’”

Tonight’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown will see Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss team with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY to face Nia Jax, Lash Legend, and The Kabuki Warriors in an eight woman tag team match, as the blue brand returns to a three hour runtime.
With the duo still aiming to recapture the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles, attention will likely be on which team emerges victorious, particularly if the babyface alliance can overcome the reigning champions Asuka and Kairi Sane.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for the Allies of Convenience as soon as we hear more.
