Charlotte Flair comments on her first title win on the main roster.
In 2015, WWE introduced Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to the main roster in a move designed to shake up the women’s division. With the company wasting little time in pushing them up the card, Flair found herself as Divas Champion just over two months on RAW, and this laid the foundations for her future success on the biggest stage. However, the star has now suggested it may have come too early.
Speaking with Kate Mackz, Charlotte Flair said she wasn’t ready to hold the Divas Championship when she won it in 2015.
“When I won the Divas Championship from Nikki Bella, I wasn’t ready. The title owned me, I didn’t own the title. You don’t want it to be about the title, you want it to be about you. It’s about the person holding it. So I didn’t think I got to that until I became the inaugural Raw Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 32 and I retired the Divas Championship.”

All in all, Flair has amassed a stunning 14 main roster world championships, last holding the SmackDown Women’s Title in 2023. Currently, she finds herself as one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions alongside Alexa Bliss, and many are enjoying the newfound partnership between the two former singles champions.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Charlotte Flair as soon as we hear more.
