Chelsea Green Reveals Hair vs. Hair Pitch For Match With Nikki Bella At WrestleMania 41 & 42

Chelsea Green reveals pitch to WWE for a hair vs. hair match at WrestleMania.

Earlier this year, Chelsea Green unfortunately suffered an ankle injury which sidelined her for WrestleMania 42, meaning the current SmackDown star is still yet to compete at “The Show Of Shows”. However, we now know that Green has been eager for one particular match at WrestleMania for the past number of years.

Speaking to Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Chelsea Green revealed her previous pitches to WWE for a hair vs. hair match with Nikki Bella.

“I’m so serious that I pitched it for both WrestleManias in Vegas versus Nikki Bella. I’ll lose. I’ll shave my head, — I so badly wanted to make the US Title something special. I don’t know that I was able to do that in my two reigns, but I think had I been able to have that feud with Nikki and shave my head, I think it would have cemented the US Title as something that wasn’t underneath this title, and that’s what I was trying to do.”

Green became the first-ever Women’s United States Champion in December 2024, defeating Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The Canadian now deflects on two runs with the title, and has since gone on to even bigger accolades. Currently, she holds the Interim WWE Women’s Championship, filling the void left when Rhea Ripley got hurt.

As for Nikki Bella, the former Divas Champion missed both WrestleMania 41 and 42, although she was only stopped from appearing on this year’s iteration of the show when a last-minute injury meant she couldn’t compete. In her place, Paige stepped in to make her WWE return, teaming with Brie Bella to win the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
