Chelsea Green has addressed the pitch that would’ve seen her comically win the Royal Rumble.
During an episode of WWE Unreal on Netflix, fans learned of a pitch that would’ve seen Chelsea Green almost accidentally win the Women’s Royal Rumble. The idea featured Green entering the match at number 30 after all other participants had been eliminated, meaning she’d be named the winner by default. Many viewers had their own opinions on whether it would’ve worked, and the former Women’s United States Champion has now commented on the idea.
In an interview with USA Today, Chelsea Green said she was gobsmacked when she found out about the pitch, but said it would’ve been a hilarious moment that fans would’ve remembered forever.
“I was gobsmacked. I think that could have been a hilarious moment, a moment that our audience would have never forgotten, a moment that would have gone down in history. That’s the beauty of wrestling, anything can happen, and by the time we hit 2026, we might have 10 more incredible ideas or ways for me to win a Royal Rumble, or for a newcomer, for someone in NXT to come up and surprise the fans.”

Green made her return to WWE during the 2023 Royal Rumble, being eliminated almost immediately, so the star is no stranger to memorable rumble moments. While the idea didn’t come to be, it’s certain possible we see something similar come to fruition in future.
Elsewhere in the interview, Green discussed her on-screen partnership with Ethan Page, which you can read about here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Chelsea Green as soon as we hear more.
