Jericho’s future remains uncertain.
With 2025 nearing its end, attention is turning towards the future of Chris Jericho, with reports earlier this year indicating that his AEW contract is set to expire at the end of the year.
Appearing on WBSM 1420, Chris Jericho was asked about what the future holds for him in professional wrestling. He said that although he has yet to decide on his next move, he is not stepping away from the ring just yet.
“I’m not done yet, so still figuring out everything. We’ll see where I end up, but I’m pretty sure you’ll see me in 2026 in a wrestling ring somewhere.”

Jericho last appeared for All Elite Wrestling at AEW: Dynasty on April 6, where he lost the ROH World Championship to Bandido.
All indications suggest that this was his final appearance for the promotion, with recent reports stating that WWE have offered Jericho a retirement storyline ahead of an expected return in early 2026. You can read more about that here.
Despite this, Tony Khan has recently said that he would like Jericho to end his career in AEW. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Chris Jericho’s contract status as soon as we hear more.
