Chris Jericho will seemingly be taking a break from AEW TV during his Fozzy tour.
On the April 9 edition of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho responded to his ROH World Championship loss at Dynasty by expressing his disappointment in his Learning Tree stablemates and suggesting that it was best for him leave. Providing an update on this, Fightful Select recently revealed that the 54-year-old is set to begin a new tour with Fozzy, while noting that the band’s dates indicate Jericho could still play a part on Dynamite if needed. Now, it’s been suggested that ‘The Nueve’ will be taking time away from AEW while away on tour.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that Chris Jericho is of the belief that now is the time for him to step back from AEW TV.
“Jericho is also taking time off. He has a Fozzy tour 4/17 to 5/12. But he has Wednesdays off. When this tour was set up, the idea is he’s be in for Dynamite. However, he’s feeling it’s the right time for a break and there’s no time frame known or that likely will be talked about until a “surprise” return.”

As mentioned, it’s currently unknown when Jericho will make his return to AEW, although it appears as if his comeback won’t involve Ring Of Honor, with it previously reported that he was set to finish up with ROH following his feud with Bandido.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Chris Jericho’s AEW absence as soon as we hear more.
