The ‘Second City Saint’ could be back in the ring at SummerSlam.

Two days ago, at WWE Clash At The Castle, CM Punk made his presence known in a major way when he cost Drew McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship in his home country of Scotland. The pair have been at odds for many months, however the Chicago native has been sidelined since January with torn triceps, meaning a match between the two has been impossible to this point. Now, there has been an update on the condition of the 45-year-old.

Per WrestleVotes on X, it’s believed that CM Punk won’t be cleared by the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, but is likely to be able to compete at this year’s SummerSlam.

If McIntyre had won the World Heavyweight Championship this past weekend, he’d have gone on to defend the gold against GUNTHER at SummerSlam. However, as it stands, his schedule remains free on the first weekend of August and we could finally see ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ lock horns with CM Punk this summer.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the injury status of CM Punk as soon as we hear more.
