CM Punk says he feels rejuvenated at this stage of his career.

Prior to his 2023 return, most wrestling fans would’ve never expected to see CM Punk compete in a WWE ring again. After over 18 months back in the company the ‘Second City Saint’ now finds himself with a World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam, and he’s now reflected on having another run in WWE over a decade after many thought he was done for good.

Speaking to ComicBook Nation, Punk said that everything he’s getting to do in wrestling is like extra credit to him, emphasising how rejuvenated he feels in his current role.

“Listen, everything I’m doing on screen, on television, wrestling wise now, it’s like extra credit. It’s a dream come true. I feel like I don’t know when the roller coaster ride ends for me. I want to squeeze as much out of it as I can. Being able to work with the top talkers, wrestlers, minds in the industry has just rejuvenated me as a whole. So anytime I get to work with Paul, Roman, even Seth. Guys like that they tend to bring the best out of me, and in turn, I feel like I bring the best out of them. And it’s been a trip. I’m really enjoying everything I’m doing.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Punk noted how excited he is to be stepping into the ring with GUNTHER at SummerSlam. As for future opponents, he named Bron Breakker, Chad Gable and Damian Priest as roster members he’d want to wrestles before the clock strikes on his career.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on CM Punk as soon as we hear more.
