CM Punk is elated to have AJ Lee back in WWE.
On the September 5 edition of SmackDown, AJ Lee made her stunning return to WWE, appearing for the first time in over a decade. The former Divas Champion was reintroduced by CM Punk, as her husband was looking for support in the fight against both Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch. With Lee settling into life back in wrestling, ‘The Second City Saint’ has discussed what it’s like to be working alongside his wife.
Appearing on Pardon My Take, CM Punk said having AJ Lee back in WWE is like a dream come true.
“I’m having the time of my life. I’m like the uber-nerdiest wife guy. I always like to say I try to spend as much time with my wife as I can, and I spend a lot of time with her. And it never feels like it’s enough. So having her be back in this environment with me at work is like a dream come true.”

This Saturday, AJ Lee will have her first sanctioned match since 2015, teaming with CM Punk to take on Rollins and Lynch in a mixed tag match at WrestlePalooza. From there, fans are excited to see where her run goes, with many dream matches waiting for AJ now she’s re-entered the fold.
