Rhodes believes himself, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins could all take on the job.

With previous experience as an AEW EVP, many fans have long speculated that Cody Rhodes may eventually find himself in a management role with WWE when he ultimately calls time on his in-ring career.

Appearing on ESPN’s Unsportsmanlike ahead of this weekend’s Wrestlepalooza PLE, Rhodes was asked if he wants to be where Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque is in 10 years, to which the WWE Champion noted that he may not be the only Superstar vying for that role.

“I think there’s starting to become a fight for it, and I didn’t see that at first. I thought, well, obviously I’m the best candidate [Laughs.] I don’t know if I’m actually the best candidate. I felt like I had some experience and I’d be interested in something like that, but also, it’s very clear that CM Punk is really great at helping develop young talent. He probably has a knack for it more than anybody. Seth Rollins is a little bit more rough around the edges, but probably would be an outstanding boss when it comes down to it. I’d love to throw my name in the hat. I don’t know if I’m ready to do it officially yet, but I like the fact that there’s the three of us, plus there’s tons of other people. Bayley, Roman (Reigns) will always have a say. You’ve got an older locker room right now, so eventually those positions, see if you can do good because it’s not always booking. The industry is not easy, and Triple H is doing a great job, so thankfully we have him for quite some time.”

Rhodes, Punk, and Rollins are all set for in-ring action at Wrestlepalooza on September 20th in Indianapolis, with the show set to mark WWE’s first Premium Live Event as part of their partnership with ESPN’s new direct-to-consumer service

‘The American Nightmare’ is scheduled to defend the WWE Championship in singles action against former champion Drew McIntyre, whilst both Punk and Rollins will reportedly main event the show in mixed tag team action alongside the returning AJ Lee and WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch respectively.

Elsewhere during the show, Rhodes endorsed Bron Breakker as the future of WWE. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on what the future might hold for Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins as soon as we hear more.
