Cody Rhodes Names WWE’s Next Major Stars

Cody Rhodes has named who he believes to be WWE’s next biggest thing.
Having joined WWE back in 2006 as a second-generation talent, Cody Rhodes was long touted as a future WWE Championship holder, and while his path to the top may not have been what he originally envisioned, he now finds himself in his third reign as champion.
Speaking to Adam Glyn ahead of Monday Night RAW, Cody Rhdoes was asked who he believes will be WWE’s next major star, to which he named Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Bron Breakker, Oba Femi, and Kit Wilson as his ones to watch.
“I think this one’s fairly obvious. I’ve talked about Trick [Williams]. Je’Von [Evans] is on his way. Bron Breakker‘s on his way. Oba [Femi] is definitely a safe bet. And then I’ll say somebody who you can tell wants it, and ‘wants it’ really matters to me, and I think might make it. Kit Wilson.”

Cody Rhodes is set to defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Elimination Chamber winner Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, with ‘The Viper’ having recently turned on his long-time friend and former protégé.
After making a major splash since arriving on the main roster following a successful spell in NXT, Oba Femi is set to take on Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, while Trick Williams will challenge Sami Zayn for the WWE United States Championship.
Plans for Kit Wilson at WrestleMania 42 are currently unclear, with Je’Von Evans set to be part of the WWE Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match. Bron Breakker, meanwhile, was reportedly originally planned for a match with Seth Rollins and now finds himself in a race against time to return from injury ahead of the event.
Elsewhere on the WrestleMania 42 front, WWE recently confirmed that John Cena is set to host the two-night event, with reports now claiming that the decision was made to boost ticket sales. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Cody Rhodes as soon as we hear more.
