Cody Rhodes casts an eye towards his eventual retirement.

At present, it could be argued that Cody Rhodes is WWE’s biggest name. Now with three Undisputed WWE Championships to look back on, his journey to the top has been anything but straightforward, with WrestleMania 40 being where he truly broke through to reach the top table in the company. At 41 years old, though, Rhodes is closer to the end of his career than the start, and he’s now shed some light on when he might retire.

Speaking to WrestleTalk, Rhodes said he doesn’t wanting to be wrestling when his daughter reaches 11 years old.

“I’ll say it probably will happen sooner than later. I’m not giving you any type of spoiler. Time goes by. When my daughter is 11 years old, I’m not gonna be falling down for a living anymore.”

Rhodes began his career two decades ago in 2006. Starting in the WWE system as a member of OVW, he was a consistent part of main-roster programming from 2007 to 2016, whether it be as part of Legacy, his time as Intercontinental Champion, or his time as Stardust.

Then, he took a huge leap by leaving the company and heading elsewhere. He became a top name in both ROH and NJPW, as well as across the independent scene, before helping to start All Elite Wrestling in 2019. His return to WWE three years later was one of the biggest moments in WrestleMania history, and he’s now firmly established as one of their major stars.

Of course, he currently shows no signs of slowing down. As of writing, he’s locked into an intense feud with Randy Orton, and has been since they locked horns over the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 42. After “The Show Of Shows”, Orton took time away from our screens, but, at SummerSlam, he cost “The American Nightmare” his opportunity to win back the title, and has been determined to prevent him from returning to the top of the mountain on SmackDown.
