Confidence of Daniel Garcia re-signing with AEW is reportedly lower than it was this time last month.

In the midst of uncertainty over his future, Daniel Garcia made his triumphant return to AEW at Wembley Stadium to cost MJF the International Championship. However, Garcia went on to lose to MJF at All Out on September 7, and hasn’t been since on programming since. Now, we have an update on whether his absence is down to his current contract status.

Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that confidence that Daniel Garcia is re-signing with AEW isn’t as strong as it was one month ago, with it still possible that he could leave the company.

“Yes, it has everything to do with that. I don’t think that they want to put him on TV until he makes the commitment…As far as what’s going to happen with him, I would say this, I would say that the almost surety or the strong confidence that he was signing, I wouldn’t say that it’s as strong. I wouldn’t say that he’s leaving either but it’s not as strong as it was a month ago. He may leave. The fact he didn’t sign before the last pay-per-view was one that is like hey, wait a minute, why didn’t he sign before the last pay-per-view? It made a difference.”

As of yet, it’s unclear when Daniel Garcia is planned to make his AEW return. Given that his current deal is set to expire before the end of the year, it’s certainly possible that we don’t see the 26-year-old back in All Elite Wrestling unless he decides to commit his future to the promotion.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Daniel Garcia’s AEW status as soon as we hear more.
