Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling

Tokyo Joshi Pro held a Korakuen Hall show on Saturday in front of 674 fans in the Korakuen Hall with an International Princess Championship match and the final of the annual Max Heart tournament on the card.

Yuki Arai defended her Championship for the first time against Juria Nagano, who is retiring from Pro Wrestling and wants to win a Championship before that. She & Moka lost in the Max Heart tournament semi-finals, so she decided to go after Arai’s International belt. In a solid match, Arai defeated Moka in 11:41 minutes to retain her title for the first time and crush the dreams of Nagano, who did well in this match. Afterward, Yuki Kamifuku came out to challenge Arai for the International Princess Title at Grand Princess in the Sumo Hall on March 31st. It’s a battle between the current Champion and a former Champion on the biggest show of TJPW’s calendar.

In the main event of the show, Arisu Endo & Suzume faced Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi in the Max Heart Tournament 2024 final with a shot for the Princess Tag Team Championships on the line. Daisy Monkey defeated Raku & Pom Harajuku and Juria Nagano & Moka Miyamoto to advance to the final, while Hakuchumu had the tougher bracket with them needing to defeat Shoko Nakajima & Hyper Misao and Wakan Uehara & Yuki Arai to punch their ticket to this match. The match was great with Daisy Monkey playing a fantastic underdog Tag Team that eventually overcame the favorites with Suzume hitting the “Ring A Bell” on Rika Tatsumi to win the match. They announced that they will challenge Ryo Mizunami & Yuki Aino at Grand Princess for the Tag Team Championships.

World Woman Pro-Wrestling Diana

Diana held a show in Shin-Kiba 1st RING on Sunday with the show featuring a Championship match in the main event, where Ayame Sasamura challenged Haruka Umesaki for the WWWD World Championship. The two faced off in the Catch the WAVE tournament last year, where Ayame put Umesaki to sleep with a Sleeper Hold in Chiba. The Champion needed to step up here and she did and defeated Sasamura in 18:42 minutes to retain her Championship and continue her 289+ day reign on the top of Diana.

Umesaki now tied the defense record of three defenses and holds the record together with Ayako Sato and Kyoko Inoue. The current Champ now has the chance to break it in her next defense which is yet to be announced.

OZ Academy

OZ Academy held a show in Shinjuku FACE on Sunday in front of 399 fans with the main event being an OZ Academy Openweight Title #1 Contendership Match between Mayumi Ozaki and Sonoka Kato with the winner facing Mio Momono for the top belt of OZ. After 15:05 minutes, Ozaki was able to win the match and has the chance to win the OZ Academy Openweight Title for a fourth time.

She will face Mio Momono, who is trying to defend for the first time, on April 28th in the Korakuen Hall. Their last singles match ended with Ozaki defeating Momono to win the AAAW Singles Championship in Marvelous, which kicked off the rivalry between OZ and Marvelous over the past six months. Mio now has the chance to take revenge by defeating Ozaki in OZ Academy to embarrass her as Ozaki did in August when she defeated Momono in front of all her fans and equal the score between the two, while Ozaki tries to bring back the Championship in the hands of an OZ Academy Wrestler.
