The former WWE Superstar has addressed her time away from the ring.

On May 2, earlier this year, Dakota Kai was released from her WWE contract, ending her second tenure of three years with the company.

During a recent Twitch stream, Kai reflected on her time away from wrestling, admitting that while the break has been refreshing after so many years in the ring, she still finds herself missing it.

“I miss wrestling, you guys. We’re gonna get back into it. It’s just one of those things where it’s been nice to have a little bit of a break. I’ve been doing it for a long time. Longer than the last seven years I was with WWE. It is nice to take a step back a bit, but I really do miss it.”

Kai’s most recent in-ring outing came during the March 27 edition of WWE Main Event in a bout with Ivy Nile. The Damage CTRL member would tweet and delete on April 29 that she missed wrestling and clarified that she was not hurt.

July 31st marked the end of Dakota Kai’s 90-day non-compete clause with WWE, and thus, former two-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion is free to appear for any promotion moving forward.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of Dakota Kai as soon as we hear more.
