Darby Allin On His Critics: You Don’t Have To Pay Attention If You Don’t Like It, I’m Just Gonna Keep Doing What I Do

Darby Allin has a strong message for those who dislike his style in AEW.

When Darby Allin signed with All Elite Wrestling in 2019, he was able to showcase his daredevil approach on a much wider scale. The 33-year-old is known for pushing himself to his physical limits by taking on immense pain, often showcased in matches through crazy bumps and extreme spots that are unlikely to be seen anywhere else. Naturally, this has resulted in a lot of pushback from viewers who aren’t fans of Allin’s style.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, Allin addressed his critics by affirming his commitment to wrestling the way that he does.

“There’s so much different things to like or not like. You don’t have to pay no attention to me if you don’t like it, just go complain about something. There’s just nothing to say. I’m just gonna keep doing what I do.”

Some of Allin’s most extreme AEW moments include being tossed down a flight of stairs, getting tossed across the ring by both Powerhouse Hobbs and Konosuke Takeshita, and, perhaps most famously of all, falling through a pane of glass to the floor during Sting’s retirement match at Revolution 2024.

Speaking of Allin’s infamous glass dive, he told Chris Van Vliet elsewhere in the interview how he felt in the aftermath of the fall, including the referee’s immediate reaction. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Darby Allin as soon as we hear more.
