Dominik Mysterio Reportedly In Concussion Protocol Following AAA Rey De Reyes

Dominik Mysterio is reportedly in concussion protocol which took him out of WWE RAW.
On Saturday’s Rey De Reyes event, Dominik Mysterio defended the AAA Mega Championship against El Hijo del Vikingo in a no-disqualification match. However, during the contest, the challenger launched a chair at the champion, prompting the referee to check on Mysterio after he’d gone down to the canvas holding his head. Now, the latest has emerged on the former Intercontinental Champion’s injury status.
According to an update from Bryan Alvarez on F4WOnline, it’s believed Dominik Mysterio has been placed into concussion protocol by WWE, leading to a change to the lineup for Monday Night RAW.
“Dom vs. Dragon Lee was scheduled for Raw but it appears Dom is in concussion protocol,”

Despite the blow, Mysterio still finished the AAA Mega Championship match this past weekend. Later, he’d take to social media to reveal the gruesome cut suffered as a result of the blow. Still, his win now means Vikingo can’t challenge for the title again as long as the Judgment Day member holds the gold.
As for last night’s RAW, Dragon Lee instead unsuccessfully challenged Penta for Intercontinental Championship. As yet, it’s unclear when Dominik Mysterio will be given the all clear to return to competition in WWE, with the company keen to keep an eye on how he progresses.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Dominik Mysterio as soon as we hear more.
