Drew McIntyre will be staying with WWE.
For over a year, speculation has run rampant over the WWE future of Drew McIntyre. In April 2023, it came out that the Scotsman had less than 12 months remaining on his contract, and, even as WrestleMania 40 approached, there was no news on a new deal. However, it now looks as if the former WWE Champion will be staying with the company for years to come.
Per an Instagram video shared by The Rock, it was revealed that McIntyre has finally put pen to paper to extend his WWE stay.
“As you’re a man of yours – Congratulations @mcintyrewwe on signing your new @wwe deal. As we talked about after your #WrestleMania match, I know this Scottish Claymore represents everything that you, your family and your country embody. Alba gu bräth. As you know, I wanted to personally hand deliver this gift to you at your meeting with Nick Khan, but I had warm cheat meals and chilled tequila waiting for me. Congrats again brother and cheers to hunger, passion, climbing that mountain and always entertaining our fans.”

To provide more information on McIntyre’s new contract, PWInsider Elite are reporting that the the agreement was reached as recently as just a few days ago, with The Rock’s social media announcement readied well in advance to be used as soon as the deal was done.
“PWInsiderElite.com is told that the two sides finally came to terms about 2-3 days ago. We are told that the video that The Rock posted on his Instagram was actually shot well before that in advance so WWE had something they could roll out once they finalized negotiations, but discussions weren’t concluded until just a few days ago.”

In terms of the contract length, the report notes that it is a multi-year deal, with one source suggesting that it is set to last for around three years.
“We are told it is a multi-year deal and both sides are extremely happy with it. One source believed that the deal was in the area of three years. If that is correct, McIntyre would be locked in through summer 2027. McIntyre’s deal was set to expire next month.”

He has performed a crucial role on Monday Night RAW over the last few months, however, due to suffering a hyperextended elbow, it’s also believed that he will be off TV while he recovers from the injury after working through it on the recent UK tour.
As mentioned in the report, McIntyre’s deal had around a month left before it’s expiry date, so it will come as a huge relief to both fans of WWE and the company itself to have Drew tied down to a new contract for the coming years.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Drew McIntyre’s new WWE contract as soon as we hear more.
