The former WWE Champion’s future remains uncertain.
Over the past few months, several reports have indicated that Drew Mclntyre’s WWE contract is set to expire at some point this year after WrestleMania 40 in April, and it appears as though both sides are still yet to come to an agreement.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting Mclntyre is yet to agree to a new deal with WWE, although it was also noted that both sides are actively wanting to make it work. Additionally, Meltzer added that Mclntyre is enjoying his current role with the company, with this likely to play a part in his desire to stay.
“As of press time, he hasn’t signed a new deal but both sides are wanting to make it work and he’s very much enjoying his current role.”
