Dustin Rhodes is reportedly expected to stay with AEW.
Being an AEW original, Dustin Rhodes has spent over five years under the All Elite Wrestling banner. However, with his current contract believed to be expiring this month, speculation began to emerge over his future and whether he could potentially join his brother Cody in WWE. Now, it looks like Dustin’s time in AEW isn’t quite done yet.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, while the 55-year-old’s plan to run regular live wrestling shows in Texas, revealed that Rhodes is expected to re-sign with AEW.
“Dustin Rhodes, whose AEW contract expires soon but he’s expected to renew, announced he would start running regular live shows in Texas under the banner of the Rhodes Wrestling Federation.”

Dustin is currently a double champion, holding the ROH World Tag Team Titles with Sammy Guevara and the ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Championships alongside the Von Erichs, so it would be a surprise to see him leave AEW at a time in which he is finding success. Still, the company will certainly be glad to maintain Rhodes’ services if they can get a new deal over the line.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Dustin Rhodes’ AEW status as soon as we hear more.
