The Viking Raiders could return soon under their old name.
Erik and Ivar of The Viking Raiders have gone through many changes during their time in WWE, beginning as ‘Hanson’ and ‘Rowe’ in NXT up until they took on their current names on the main roster. However, it now appears as if the duo could be going back to their old team name in the near future.
Per WrestleVotes Radio, it’s believed that The Viking Raiders could be coming back to TV under their old ‘War Raiders’ name.
“Yeah. Viking Raiders have gone over a number of name changes over the years, from NXT up to the main roster, with the Viking Experience at first, and now the Viking Raiders. But now that the person in charge who was not a big fan of War Raiders is out of the way, I think you’re going to see the return of the name the War Raiders as the tag team for Erik and Ivar, as they are both ready to go and return back to the main roster.”

Erik hasn’t competed in the ring since September of last year, undergoing neck fusion surgery later in 2023. In the meantime, Ivar entered the singles division until he suffered an injury in May. Still, it doesn’t appear as if fans will have to wait much longer to see the pair re-emerge on WWE.
