News outlets are reportedly reaching out to WWE’s female talent.

The lawsuit brought against WWE, Vince McMahon and John Laurinaitis by Janel Grant which alleged cases of sex trafficking, emotional abuse and sexual assault has dominated the headlines since January 25. IDs graphic detail shocked readers and sent a ripple through the TKO Group which saw the repositioning of sponsors until McMahon was removed from the company.

It became evident that the allegations that came to light sat much deeper than the surface level, and the true extent of the abhorrent behaviour on display is still unknown. To discuss this, Dave Meltzer has written in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that news reporters have started to ask female talent in WWE about their experience regarding potential abuse.

“One WWE star noted to us that a lot of news reporters have contacted female talent in the company to ask them about potential abuse.”
