Finn Bálor vs. Sami Zayn Reportedly Set To Open Summerslam Night Two
Last night, SummerSlam Saturday’s opener saw Liv Morgan retain the Women’s World Championship over IYO SKY, while many were stunned to see the show closed by Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar as opposed to the Undisputed WWE Championship clash between Cody Rhodes and CM Punk. With card order a point of discussion heading into the event’s second night, we now have an indication of what could be set to go on first tonight.
As first reported by PWInsider Elite, Finn Bálor vs. Sami Zayn is currently planned to open Summerslam Night 2.

Finn Bálor and Sami Zayn are competing to earn the right to become the number one contender to the WWE Championship. After CM Punk retention against Cody Rhodes at Summerslam Saturday, whoever wins with have a date with “The Second City Saint” down the line.
Zayn recently lost the WWE Championship to CM Punk on the July 6 RAW just nine days after capturing the gold. The Canadian has made it his mission to return to the top of the mountain, though the same can certainly be said of Bálor, with the Irishman having been unable to reclaim a world championship since relinquishing the Universal Championship in 2016. For now, whether it’s Bálor or Zayn that earn a future WWE Championship opportunity tonight remains to be seen.
Elsewhere on the card, Penta will look to defend his International Championship against Chad Gable while Seth Rollins will challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, though Bálor and Zayn have an opportunity to steal the show from the outset.
