Gabe Kidd’s deal with New Japan is set to expire soon.
Last year proved to be major when it came to contract news with many top stars having to re-negotiate their deals across 2024. Now, with a huge match against Kenny Omega coming up in just three days at Wrestle Dynasty, Gabe Kidd may have to sit down with New Japan Pro Wrestling shortly to discuss his future.
Per Fightful Select, it’s believed Gabe Kidd’s NJPW contract is coming up soon.
“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp has learned that NJPW Strong Openweight Gabe Kidd has his New Japan Pro Wrestling contract coming up soon.”

Kidd has been an important figure in New Japan in recent times and the report notes that the current STRONG Openweight Champion is likely to be someone that the company is keen to retain, although there hasn’t been any indication as to whether the two sides are currently negotiating a new contract.
