We now have some minor updates on a handful of injured WWE and AEW talents.
Per Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, NXT’s Cora Jade, who tore her ACL at a house show in an NXT Women’s Championship match against Lyra Valkyria earlier this month, is expected to miss most of the rest of the year.
“Cora Jade had surgery for her torn left ACL on 1/23, and is likely out seven to ten months.”

AEW’s Pac, who’s been out since July 2023 with an undisclosed injury, is on the mend, on the road again, and hopeful to be back soon.
“Pac, who has been at shows and getting medical treatment, is hoped for to be back in a short period of time.”

AEW’s Rey Fenix suffered injuries in October 2023 (which led to him losing the International Championship back to Orange Cassidy shortly after winning it) and is not expected back in the near future.
“Even though Rey Fenix was on television with Penta last week, he’s pretty banged up and not expected back that soon”

Austin Theory and Carmelo Hayes wrestled each other on the January 12 episode of Smackdown, but the match was quickly caused off after both men suffered injuries because of a botched Spanish Fly, which were described by WWE’s X/Twitter account as “facial contusions.” Both men did not suffer serious injuries, though there was concern that Theory had a concussion after landing on his head.
“Theory did not suffer a concussion although [he] hasn’t wrestled since the match with Carmelo Hayes.”

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the aforementioned talents’ injury status as soon as we hear more.
We’d like to wish everyone the best in their recoveries, and hopefully, they will be back to full strength and back on television before long.
