IYO SKY and Asuka is reportedly still set to go ahead at WWE WrestleMania 42.

Earlier today, WWE announced the full cards for both Night One and Night Two of WrestleMania 42, with fans pointing out that IYO SKY and Asuka were nowhere to be seen following reports that the pair had been planned to face off at the show.

Despite their absence from the announced cards, BodySlam are now reporting that IYO SKY vs. Asuka is still tentatively planned for WrestleMania 42.

“Sources indicate that Iyo Sky vs. Asuka is still tentatively planned for WrestleMania 42 although it hasn’t officially been announced yet.”

The Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez has also provided his own report on the situation, revealing that the reason the match has not yet been announced is that The Kabuki Warriors are on standby to be added to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match should Nikki Bella not be cleared in time for WrestleMania 42.

“The reason is because if Nikki Bella isn’t medically cleared to team with sister Brie in the four-way Women’s Tag Team match at WrestleMania, Asuka & Kairi Sane will take their place. If Nikki gets cleared, the Sky vs. Asuka match will be booked.”

The report notes that if The Kabuki Warriors are added to the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match, it remains unclear what that would mean for IYO SKY at WrestleMania 42.

Last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW saw Asuka deliver a message to IYO SKY, claiming that she plans to teach her one final lesson in the ring. IYO SKY had previously pleaded with Kairi Sane to break free from Asuka’s control and vowed to be the one to stop her former Damage CTRL stablemate.

Elsewhere during Monday Night RAW, IYO SKY teamed with Rhea Ripley to face Michin and B-Fab, with Jade Cargill watching on. However, SKY ultimately fell to the numbers advantage, leaving Ripley forced to watch her best friend suffer a brutal beatdown.
