Jacob Fatu may be sidelined into next year.
On the October 10 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, Jacob Fatu was seen brawling with Drew McIntyre not long after ‘The Samoan Werewolf’ set his sights on Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship. A match was set up between Fatu and ‘The Scottish Psychopath’ for next week, however it now seems as if the former United States Champion may sidelined for some time.
According to a new report from Bodyslam, it’s believed that Jacob Fatu is dealing with a non-wrestling-related injury that may keep him out of the ring ‘well into 2026’.
“Jacob Fatu is dealing with a non-wrestling-related injury that’s expected to keep him out of action for a very extended period—possibly “well into 2026”.”

As yet, the nature of his injury remains undisclosed, but it goes without saying that Fatu’s absence will be a major blow for Friday Night SmackDown moving forward. Of course, we wish Jacob all the best with regard to his recovery and look forward to seeing him back as soon as he’s medically able.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jacob Fatu’s injury status as soon as we hear more.
