Jade Cargill has stated her intentions as WWE Women’s Champion.

On November 1, at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Jade Cargill captured the first world championship of her professional wrestling career. The two-time former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion defeated Tiffany Stratton in around five minutes, topping off a year in which she also won Queen Of The Ring, and Cargill has now discussed what she aims to do as part of her title reign.

In an interview with WYFF News, Jade Cargill discussed wanting to elevate the WWE Women’s Championship and wanting to be an example for the locker room.

“I want to continue to elevate this title. That’s one thing I want to do. I want to do nothing but be an example for the women in the locker room. I want to show people that regardless of your age, regardless of your background, you can do anything you want to do, regardless of these obstacles that are in front of you. I want to prove the haters wrong. All of them. Every single one of them. I want them to eat their words, and I want them to say I’m their kid’s favorite wrestler. That’s what I want.”

Although she currently holds the gold, Cargill had two previous opportunities at the WWE Women’s Title before being able to call herself champion. Back in September, Jade made headlines after being busted open in a major way while challenging for the championship in a triple threat on SmackDown. You can read Cargill’s reflection on the gruesome injury here.

Given her past with Bianca Belair, many fans have speculated that ‘The EST’ could soon challenge Cargill for the title, particularly as new reports have indicated Belair could soon make a return to competition. You can read the latest on her injury status here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jade Cargill’s title reign as soon as we hear more.
