‘Switchblade’ Jay White has recently cleared some things up regarding his contract status.
Switchblade Jay White recently appeared on the “The Sessions with Renee Paquette” podcast where he clarified his NJPW contract status. Jay White also spoke about his time so far with Impact Wrestling and how it’s helped him stay stay fresh in the ring:
“I didn’t sign with them. I’m still with New Japan but luckily, I have a fair bit of freedom where I can kind of go and do what I want so to speak.”
Jay White also commented on his time with IMPACT so far, stating:
“It’s been fun and fresh, Fresh is always good. Bullet Club has been around for a while now, so keeping things fresh is always good.
“Shaking it up with members, dropping some and adding some more, just so it’s not always the same old thing. Adding the best members and pieces that are going to help us move forward, in my opinion, has been fun.”
Switchblade Jay White hasn’t wrestled in Japan since May of 2021 at Wrestling Dontaku Night 2 in a trios match against Hiroshi Tanahashi, Ryusuke Taguchi & Tory Yano. Since then he’s been on absolute tear in the US wrestling mostly for Impact Wrestling representing Bullet Club wrestling against legends of the industry like Chris Sabin, Alex Shelley, “Speedball” Mike Bailey and Eric Young.
Switchblade Jay White last wrestled for Impact at their Multiverse of Matches in a winning effort against Chris Sabin during Wrestlemania weekend in Dallas. He wrestled his Bullet Club stablemate Hikuleo this past weekend at the NJPW Strong: Mutiny tapings from the Los Angeles, CA.
