An unfortunate injury update has surfaced regarding Jay White.

‘Switchblade’ Jay White last competed on the March 29 edition of AEW Collision, defeating Kevin Knight in just over 10 minutes. Since then, the former World Trios Champion has been out with a hand injury, however, as fans of White look for positive news regarding his status, it now seems as if the 32-year-old may be sidelined for longer than initially expected.

Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that White, along with his hand injury, is also dealing with a shoulder problem which may put him on the shelf for the year of the year should it require surgery.

“Those that we’ve spoken to claim that Jay White had also been dealing with a shoulder injury. Sources in the company have said that White had been weighing whether or not to get shoulder surgery, though we haven’t heard if that decision was made. If so, it’s possible he’d miss the rest of the year.

White will be heavily missed on AEW TV while he deals with various injuries, but, of course, his health is the top priority before he can return to competition. In his absence, and with Colten Gunn also out of action, Austin Gunn will team with Juice Robinson as part of the company’s World Tag Team Title Eliminator.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jay White’s injury status as soon as we hear more.
