Je’Von Evans Addresses Pat McAfee’s Comments On Professional Wrestling

Je’Von Evans comments on Pat McAfee’s return to WWE.
On the April 3 edition of WWE SmackDown, Pat McAfee made his return to WWE as he was unveiled as the mystery figure who had been advising Randy Orton throughout his feud with Cody Rhodes. Since making his return, McAfee has taken aim at the company for failing to sell tickets for WrestleMania 42, as well as criticising having to watch ‘two 5’5 guys do a 45 minute Iron Man match ten weeks straight for no rhyme or reason.’
In an interview with No-Contest Wrestling, Je’Von Evans was asked whether he had any thoughts on Pat McAfee’s comments about the professional wrestling business, to which he said that McAfee does not have the perspective of someone who fully understands the industry.
“I feel like there’s just certain things that people that are not familiar or don’t come from the wrestling business don’t understand. And they tend to express that in a certain way. I feel like wrestling isn’t like a regular sport. We take this very serious because our bodies and lives are on the line. There’s legacy behind all this. People feed their families because of this. So I feel like there are things that some people do say or have an opinion on, and they tend to express that in a certain way, or just publicly. But bro, why can’t we just have fun? Why can’t we just have fun, make money? It’s a selfish business out here. You’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do. But also, you can’t be talking crazy and expect nobody else to talk crazy back. You cannot not expect receipts. Especially from the OGs that’s been doing it for a long time, that’s been through a lot to get to where they’re at. And now you’re dissing them. Hey, Punk was talking. Said what he had to say, but it’s the road to WrestleMania, so we good either way.”

Following his explosive return to WWE last week, Pat McAfee is set to appear on tomorrow night’s episode of WWE SmackDown and appears to have more to get off his chest.
Randy Orton is set to challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Night One of WrestleMania 42 on April 18, with Pat McAfee vowing to never be seen on WWE television again should Orton fail to capture the title.
The April 6 edition of WWE Raw saw CM Punk take aim at both Pat McAfee and TKO, in addition to his WrestleMania 42 opponent Roman Reigns, with reports since claiming that Punk’s words were from the heart. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Pat McAfee’s involvement ahead of WrestleMania 42 as soon as we hear more.
