Je’Von Evans Claims Ilja Dragunov Has The Hardest Chops In WWE

‘The Mad Dragon’ doesn’t hold back.

Since joining WWE in 2023, Je’Von Evans has captivated audiences with his high flying offence and natural charisma. During his time in both NXT and on Monday Night RAW, Evans has shared the ring with some of the company’s top stars, and he has now revealed which Superstar’s offence he would rather avoid.

Appearing on the Chris Vernon Show for Grind City Media, Je’Von Evans revealed that Ilja Dragunov has hit him harder than anyone else he has faced in WWE, including GUNTHER.

“A lot of people would probably expect me to say Gunther. Gunther’s chops hurt, don’t get me wrong. They’re pretty bad, but Ilja Dragunov. I went against Ilja in my second match on TV on NXT… He was giving me a couple, but the first chop was crazy. In my head I was like, ‘Yo, I’m gonna try to avoid every chop from Ilja for the rest of my life.’”

The pair have met only once in singles competition, back in NXT in April 2024, with Ilja Dragunov securing the victory. Fortunately for Evans, Dragunov currently competes on Friday Night SmackDown.

Je’Von Evans emerged victorious in triple threat action on last night’s episode of Monday Night RAW, defeating GUNTHER and Dominik Mysterio to qualify for his first Elimination Chamber match.
