An update has been provided on Jey Uso’s status following Wrestlepalooza.
At last night’s WWE Wrestlepalooza in Indianapolis, The Usos fell to The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. The match took a sudden turn when Jey Uso was busted open after delivering a steel chair shot to Breakker, with viewers noting that an audible may have been called, as the contest appeared to be wrapped up quickly following the incident.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer reports that Uso was placed in WWE’s concussion protocol following the match, a standard precautionary measure taken after injuries of this kind.
“Jey busted himself open, he hit Bron with the chair and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday. He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”
-Bryan Alvarez
The introduction of foreign objects was made possible due to the late addition of LA Knight as special guest referee, with the former United States Champion currently at odds with both The Vision and Jey Uso.
Elsewhere during the show, The Vision’s Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch came up short to CM Punk and the returning AJ Lee in mixed tag team action, whilst Cody Rhodes successfully defended the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Jey Uso’s injury status as soon as we hear more, and we wish him all the best in his recovery.
