Jim Ross would want to see Gail Kim in AEW.

On March 25, it emerged via Fightful Select that TNA had let many of its leadership team go, with Gail Kim among the names who departed the company. The 48-year-old’s firing was met with shock across the wrestling world, and many were immediately of the belief that she’d receive a lot of interest elsewhere. Now, AEW’s Jim Ross has chimed in on whether Tony Khan should make a move to acquire the former TNA talent.

On his Grilling JR podcast, Jim Ross was asked whether he’d be surprised to see Gail Kim arrive in AEW. Here, he said he’d love to see it, and even said he’d endorse the move if Tony Khan asked his opinion.

“No. I would endorse that. If Tony Khan asked me my thoughts on the matter, I would suggest, ‘Go for it,’ because she’s very valuable and does a great job. I have great respect for Gail Kim, and her reputation speaks for itself. She gets results. She’s very good at working with talent. So no, I’m a big Gail Kim fan, and she should not be unemployed for long in my world.”

It was recently clarified in an update from Fightful that Gail Kim has no non-compete attached to her release, meaning she’s free to appear for any other company without restriction. We wish her the best when it comes to her future and look forward to seeing what she does next.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Gail Kim’s future as soon as we hear more.
