GUNTHER isn’t the man to retire John Cena, claims his father.
With December under way, we are now less than two weeks from John Cena’s final match as a WWE Superstar at Saturday Night’s Main Event, with all indications suggesting that GUNTHER will be his last opponent.
Speaking to Joseph Breun on the All Axxess Podcast, John Cena Sr. said he does not believe GUNTHER should be Cena’s final opponent, arguing that the former World Heavyweight Champion does not need that opportunity to be elevated.
“Well, it certainly wouldn’t be Gunther, that’s for sure. I don’t think that that’s a wise move. I don’t think the fans would enjoy that move. Myself personally, Gunther does not need the rub.”

After defeating Solo Sikoa on this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW, GUNTHER has advanced to the final of The Last Time is Now tournament, where he will face LA Knight next Monday.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on plans for Saturday Night’s Main Event as soon as we hear more.
