Julia Hart Cites Alexa Bliss As An Indirect Influence On Her AEW Character

Julia Hart cites Alexa Bliss as a big influence.
Signing with AEW in 2021, Julia Hart first came to our screens as a cheerleader. However, after suffering black mist from Malakai Black, the 24-year-old began a shift which saw her portray a much darker character, later joining the House of Black. This transition prompted some fans online to draw comparisons between Hart and Alexa Bliss, with the WWE star having gone through a similar trajectory. Now, the Triangle of Madness member has addressed whether she’s looked to Bliss for inspiration.
Speaking to ITR Wrestling, Hart clarified that she’s occasionally used Alexa Bliss as a reference but never directly modelled her character after her.
“I didn’t look at her career and think, ‘I want to do exactly that.’ She definitely was a big influence and I definitely grew up loving her and watching her. So I would go back and use her as a reference, but I never directly went like this is what I was going to do. I wanted to be a cheerleader because I was a cheerleader in real life in high school and I had no other character ideas. It was just kind of that.”

As a member of the House of Black, Hart found singles success by capturing the TBS Championship at Full Gear 2023. While this remains the only gold she’s held in AEW to this point, the company recently introduced the Women’s World Tag Team Championships, giving the Sisters of Sin another possible route to championship success down the line.
Speaking of Julia Hart’s tag team partner, Skye Blue recently discussed her ideal match for when AEW All In returns to Wembley Stadium this August. You can read more about that here.
