Kairi Sane’s return to WWE seems to be close.
On August 5, PWInsider first broke the news that Kairi Sane had come to terms on a return to WWE. Her comeback will end almost two years away from the company having left in December of 2021 following the expiration of her contract. However, while the report of Kairi signing with WWE came out over three months ago, she is yet to make her reappearance on either Raw or SmackDown, leading many to wonder when and how she will pop up.
Between the news breaking and today, Kairi has remained active across the world. She has mostly been competing in World Wonder Ring Stardom and is believed to recently finished up her final dates with the Japanese company, suggesting that she will soon be free to make her next move. Now, per WrestleVotes, it’s been revealed that the Pirate Princess is back on the internal rosters within WWE and that her rumoured return is now ‘imminent’.
“Kairi Sane has reappeared on the WWE internal talent roster & her return to the company is imminent.”

As it stands, the way WWE will choose to reintroduce Kairi Sane to its fans remains to be seen. Some may suggest that the 2024 women’s Royal Rumble would be an effective entry point for the 35-year-old, however the initial reports on her re-signing suggested that November would be the likely start date for the former NXT Women’s Champion so she may debut sooner than most would imagine.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Kairi Sane and her impending WWE return as we hear more.
