Doubts remain over the pair’s status as free agents.
As revealed by the man himself during an interview with Ariel Helwani, Karrion Kross’s WWE contract expired on August 10th, with the same to be said for his real-life partner Scarlett.
Despite multiple signs pointing towards Kross’ WWE exit being legitimate, significant doubts remain amongst fans, and in today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that, according to someone involved in independent wrestling, the price the pair are charging for bookings has cast considerable doubt on whether the situation is legitimate.
“One person involved in independent wrestling brought up they are charging a very high price tag and after the conversation said that they weren’t buying any of this.”

Whilst Kross’ WWE contract is believed to have expired, he claims the company did make him an offer that he hasn’t signed, with interviewers being told not to ask about the situation.
Additionally, WWE are reported to have confiscated signs in support of Kross at this past Monday’s Monday Night RAW. You can read more about the situation here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Karrion Kross & Scarlett’s status as free agents as soon as we hear more.
