The ‘Best Bout Machine’ is headed to Japan with a packed itinerary ahead.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite ended with Kenny Omega leaving the 2300 Arena on a stretcher following an attack from Kyle Fletcher, with Fightful Select reporting that he’s set to miss AEW: All Out having scheduled time off.
In today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer elaborated on Omega’s plans, revealing that he’s set to travel to Japan, with meetings with doctors, discussing the career of Hiroshi Tanahashi, and updating his Japanese visa all on the agenda.
“[Kenny] will be going to Japan to see doctors that he’s scheduled to work with on his various issues, as well as do some things with New Japan and make television appearances and do media to talk about the career of Hiroshi Tanahashi, as well as get his Japanese visa updated.”

Regarding Fightful Select’s initial report, Kenny Omega took to X to reveal that his time away from the ring relates to specialised hospital visits and work that the former AEW World Champion had been scheduled to do for a year.

Specialized hospital visits and work that had been planned for a year, but sure, let’s bait the trolls.
I’m just trying to improve what I can and represent the company in a positive way while not performing.
