Sting is likely to be joined by many faces from his past at Revolution, but Kevin Nash won’t be one of them.
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash recently made the headlines after he revealed that Sting asked him to attend his retirement match at AEW Revolution, but he turned down this request due to his positioning with WWE.
Speaking on Kliq This: The Kevin Nash Podcast, co-host Sean Oliver pointed out that many took Nash’s comments to mean that he was on WWE’s payroll, to which Nash clarified that he meant that he’s a WWE guy, and thus couldn’t be photographed at an AEW event, although he also added that he simply doesn’t want to go to wrestling events entirely.
“No, I never said that. What I said was, I’m a WWE guy. I can’t have a picture of me of the crowd and underneath it say ‘is All Elite.’ I just can’t have that. It just doesn’t work….One of my closest fucking friends is Paul Levesque. As much as I love Steve (Sting), and I know he’ll only have one last match, I will watch it. We will talk about it, I just won’t…I haven’t been to a WrestleMania, a Raw, a SmackDown, or any of the other pay-per-views. I haven’t been to any events. I don’t want to go to any place and be around a bunch of people, let alone wrestling people. I just don’t want to do it. I’m a hermit, and that’s it,”

AEW Revolution is set to take place on March 3rd at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, with Sting set to defend the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Darby Allin against The Young Bucks in a match that will bring his legendary career to an end.
The Greensboro Coliseum is the same venue that saw ‘The Icon’ take on Ric Flair at Clash of the Champions in March 1988, with Flair set to be present this weekend.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Sting’s upcoming retirement match as soon as we hear more.
