Injury appears to be the reason behind Kiana James’ absence.

It was recently reported that Kiana James had been taken off of WWE’s internal roster having not competed for the company since June. It was believed that the 27-year-old had been moved to the ‘miscellaneous’ list of talent, and, at the time, there was no reason given as to why. Now, an update has emerged detailing the reason why James isn’t considered among the company’s active roster for the time being.

Per PWInsider Elite, it’s believed that Kiana James has suffered a leg injury which could be set to keep her out of action for up to six months.

Kiana James was moved off the active WWE roster. In checking around this evening, PWInsiderElite.com can confirm she suffered an injury to her leg that is expected to keep her out of action upwards of six months.

Kiana’s last match was a Money in the Bank qualifying match in a triple threat which saw IYO SKY advance to the July 6 Premium Live Event. She was a RAW draft pick earlier this year and will likely remain on the red brand once she makes her return.

We wish Kiana James all the best in her recovery from injury.
